The three sisters
A ROCAMBOLESCO MELODRAMA IN FOUR CHAPTERS
SYNOPSIS
The Three Sisters - a rocambolesco melodrama in four chapters is a contemporary version of Chekhov work, which proposes a different way out than Olga, Masha and Irina. The free adaptation of the Brazilian transsexual Leonarda Glück, displaces the Chekhovian characters to the current Ibero-American social and cultural scene who, in turn, abandon submission and adopt positions of decision and power. The conception of this dramatized reading is strongly influenced by Queer art, Almodovarian aesthetics and Brazilian Tropicalism.
