THE COMPANY

The company founded in 2017 by Mari Paula focuses on scenic creation, training, and management, using contemporary dance and performance as the foundation of its projects. Noted for its Ibero-American co-productions and collaborations with various collectives and artists, it has produced over 15 works in dance, installations, and performance in just seven years. Its critically acclaimed work is distinguished by the integration of body, word, sound, and light. Despite being led by a female migrant artist, the company has grown exponentially and presented its works at prestigious festivals across Africa, South America, North America, and Europe.

MARI PAULA

Mari Paula (Mariana de Paula Ferreira, Brazil, 1984) navigates between dance and performance. With training in Dance, a degree in Performing Arts, a specialization in Hybrid Art, and a master's in Ibero-American Cultural Management, she founded her own company to explore contemporary themes rooted in her life experience and share aspects of life that defy definitive answers. Her projects break the boundaries of stage language, addressing topics such as migration, cultural cannibalism, women, love, and death, and explore the relationship between body and territory, both artistically and socially. Highlights include her time with the Balé Teatro Guaíra and the Colectivo Casa Selvática, the National Dance Award Funarte Klauss Vianna for her first work, and the presentation of her pieces at festivals in Africa, South America, North America, and Europe. She is also the co-founder of Las Vivas Ibero-American Dance Platform and is committed to improving the dance sector at the associative level.
