ABOUT OR PROJECT

Devórate is a dance performance that, through the female body, questions the unrestrained consumption of plastic materials and technological development in the face of the fragile existence of the human being. With a self-referential and anthropophagous language, the project carried out an intense research through different artistic and technical residencies in choreographic and theater centers in Spain and Brazil, such as: Casa Hoffmann Centro de Estudos do Movimento (Curitiba), Centro de Danza Canal and Nigredo Espacio (Madrid), Eima Creació (Mallorca), Graner Center de Creació de Dansa i Arts Vives (Barcelona), Carme Teatre (Valencia) and Palácio de Festivais (Santander). The project received support from the Iberescena Program (Funarte) and the Curitiba Patronage Program, Brazil. It premiered in September 2019 in the city of Santander (ESP) and was presented in the cities of Madrid, Mallorca, Valencia (ESP), Curitiba and Recife (BR).
